On September 6, 2023 the school staff attended three workshops. The first workshop was based on two themes- “Gender Sensitivity” and “Assessment Reforms” and the resource person was Mrs Monica Chawla, Principal at St Joseph’s Sr Sec School and the District Training Coordinator of Chandigarh for Centre of Excellence CBSE. She also serves as a Resource Person for CBSE Capacity Building Program and Training for Teachers and Principals of India and Abroad. She has conducted more than 299 sessions during the Pandemic on more than 90 topics under this program. The CBSE has also entrusted her with the role of Resource Person for Prayog trainings and Pedagogical Leadership training of Principals across the country. She has been honoured by CBSE for Excellence in School Leadership 2020-21. Her talk was engaging, enriching and extremely informative.

The second speaker was Ma’am Preeti Swami(Carmel Staff) who shared her experiences at the National Camp for NCC Care Taker Officers held at the Officers Training Academy in Gwalior last year. She also informed the staff about the details of the various events and activities being organized in school under NCC, NSS and BSG programs.

The last speaker Mrs Savita Makkar, who has 20 years of experience in the capacity of Principal & Head of Chemistry department of various educational institutes. She now heads Sohsheel Foundation, a not for the profit education research foundation which works on innovating and implementing various pedagogy/ alternative learning methods in order to improve the overall experience and performance of learners.

Mrs Makkar talked of ways to make learning multifaceted through activities. The staff was divided into groups and asked to create projects based on the model she had presented. The groups came up with extremely innovative projects to enhance learning in students.
