Carmelites spread the Teachers Day celebrations over the entire week, they started the week with special morning assemblies filled with beautiful prayers and hymns. On Wednesday the 30 th of August, the students of classes 6 to 10 gathered in the school grounds to watch the tug of war. This event took place first among the Primary and the Pre-Primary school staff. The Primary school staff won the first round. The second round was between the Primary and the High school staff, which was also won by the Primary. The last round was between the cabinet and the Primary school staff which the Primary school staff won once again and they were declared the undisputed winners of this event. The principal Sister Shanta felicitated the members of the team from the Primary and everyone congratulated them on their big win.

On Monday the 4 th of September, the cabinet organised a treasure hunt for the teachers and once again the students cheered them on enthusiastically. The teachers were divided into 5 groups and each group was assigned a colour and a cabinet member to guide them. After a lot of action-packed searching around the campus for clues, the members of Group 4 managed to find the final clue/treasure. Sister Shanta, congratulated and felicitated the winners with gold medals.

On Tuesday the 5 th of September, the teachers walked into the beautifully decorated staff room amidst the loving “Happy Teachers Day” greetings of the students. Soon after taking attendance, everyone headed eagerly to the auditorium where among loud cheering and clapping the teachers walked in feeling like celebrities. The program started with prayers and hymns for the teachers, this was followed by scenes enacted from popular Bollywood movies along with the songs and dances. The videos created by some of the cabinet members caught the teachers in candid moments and made for a very interesting movie. The teachers also participated wholeheartedly in the various games organized by the students.

The teachers were given beautiful cards, flowers and personalized gifts, everything was curated thoughtfully and lovingly. One could see the work put in behind the scenes to make this occasion really special for the teachers. The principal Sister Shanta thanked the students and the cabinet for the hard work and dedication shown by all the participants and especially the cabinet. The day continued to be special as the Parent Teacher Association(PTA) hosted the lunch for the teachers at Shivalik View. Tambola, fun quizzes, ramp walks and dances kept the teachers busy having fun. The PTA also gave the teachers gifts, cards, a sumptuous lunch and a fun filled day!
