” Reading is essential to those who seek to rise above the ordinary..” – Jim Rohn A three-day long Book Fair was organised in Carmel Convent School from 5th October to 7th October ,2023 . The Book Fair was inaugurated by the School Principal, Sr Shanta Fernandes, on 5th October at 8:30 am. The event was also graced by the Vice Principal, Sr Sefali. The Principal along with other Sisters, Ma’am Terry and Ma’am Anupriya took a round and saw the entire collection comprising of a plethora of interesting books that was on display. A wide range of books of every genre and for every age group were displayed in an attractive and meticulous manner in a colourful ambience. Students visited the venue class wise along with their teachers to get a glimpse into the spectacular world of books. They were assisted by our school librarians Ma’am Terry, Ma’am Anupriya and their respective teachers to select the books of their choice. This event, once again, reinforced among the students the significance of reading books and propelled them towards this meaningful hobby. Such endeavors at school level help us educators to inculcate the habit of reading books among our students which enables them to enhance their vocabulary, widens their horizon of knowledge and promotes creativity and imagination.
