The annual Carmel inter-squad basketball matches took place on 2nd and 3rd April, 2024 on the school basketball court. The tournament started with the first match between Satya and Namrata squad as cheering teams of each squad took their places around the basketball court. Principal Sister Shanta Fernandes was introduced to the members of both the teams after which there was a customary group photograph.  Amid the loud cheering and Ma’am Lajwanti’s entertaining commentary, both squads fought tooth and nail to score baskets. Satya quad won the match by a narrow margin. The next match was an equally well-balanced fight between Nirmal and Ekta squads, however Nirmal won the match with a good margin. 

On 3rd April, the winning teams (Nirmal and Satya squad) from the previous day’s matches gathered in the court and after the introduction with Sister Shanta Fernandes, they began a tightly fought match. Each team made heroic efforts to keep scoring and, in the end, there was a difference of just a single point. Nirmal squad won this cliff hanger of a match, but both the teams showed extraordinary perseverance and kept playing their best till the very last second.
