On November 24, 2023 Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh celebrated their Annual Day with a musical “The Glory of Redemption”. This was set in an ancient time and was based on the story of two women, whose lives are interwoven through a confluence of events. Although the play represented the life of people more than 3000 years ago, it is as relevant and applicable to today’s situation as it was then.

The Chief Guest on this occasion was Mr. Harsuhinder Pal Singh Brar, PCS, Director School Education. He was given a ceremonious welcome by the Principal Sister Shanta, Manager Sister Sumita, Vice principal Sister Sefali, Sister Satya and Sister Humbeline, along with the teachers and cabinet members.

The school band led the chief guest from the gate to the auditorium.

The program began with the lighting of the lamp and a prayer dance.

The musical was interspersed with various vibrant, colourful dances and soulful songs sung by the school choir.

The program ended with Gidda and Bhangra.

 
 Speaking to the students the chief guest congratulated the students, staff and management of the school for a stellar performance. The school received an overwhelming response and support from the parents to make this event a resounding success.
