The Carmel Convent School Sector 9B,Chandigarh, conducted several activities dedicated to the celebration of ‘Mitti of the Motherland’ to commemorate the 77th Independence Day.
On 9th August,2023, the students of Painting of class 12, displayed their creativity and their love for the motherland by making the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ banners which were uploaded on the school website on the same day.
On 11th August,2023, the students of Class 9, conducted a special assembly to instill and reinforce the idea of culture and traditions.
On 14th August the school choir along with the music teachers sang “Vande Matram” during the school assembly.
On 15th August the program started with flag hoisting in the ground and later there were prayers, hymn, patriotic songs and dances in the school auditorium. Ex Carmelite Urvi Gupta was the chief guest on this occasion.
