Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh celebrated its Annual Day of the Primary Wing on 23rd November, 2023 in the School Auditorium. Mr Nitin Kumar Yadav IAS, Home Secretary, UT Chandigarh was the chief guest for the function. Several other esteemed dignitaries and proud parents of the students also graced the occasion.
The highlight of the function was the Musical Play – Annie that explored the themes of hope, resilience and the transformative power of love during the challenging times in our lives. This mesmerizing event was marked by a series of vibrant dances and melodious songs by the choir, interwoven beautifully in the Play. The programme ended with colourful and foot tapping Bhangra. The School Principal, Sister Shanta Fernandes, presented a memento to the chief guest, Mr Nitin Kumar Yadav and thanked him and all the dignitaries for gracing the function. The Principal also thanked all parents for their presence and appreciated the young Carmelites for their dedicated efforts.
The Chief Guest made an enlightening and inspirational speech which left the young minds motivated. It was a memorable evening for all present.
