On 26th January 2024, Carmel Convent School celebrated the Republic Day. The Chief Guest, Ms Palak Goel, SDPO (East Chandigarh) an alumna, along with the school principal, Sr Shanta, unfurled the National Flag. The celebration, on the theme of Viksit Bharat, presented the proud achievements of the nation through a rich tapestry of speeches, poems, a video montage and dances interwoven in a skit. Ms. Palak Goel addressed the students recounting her time spent at school, narrated how various teachers helped in her journey towards her goal of serving the nation. The school principal, Sr Shanta, appreciated the teachers and students of Class IX for putting up a wonderful and meaningful show. She also motivated the students to work towards a progressive India. The programme enthused a spirit of patriotic fervour in all present.
