Date: 23 October, 2024
Pre Primary celebrated Diwali on 23rd October conducted by UKG students with great enthusiasm
and devotion. The event commenced with a beautiful prayer dance that set
a serene and spiritual tone for the festivities, invoking blessings and
reflecting the true spirit of Diwali.
Thereafter, the students performed an enactment of the Diwali
story, portraying the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile
and his victory over the demon king Ravana. The performance emphasized
the importance of goodness triumphing over evil, a central theme of the
festival.
In line with modern-day environmental concerns, the girls also advocated
for a “Green Diwali,” promoting eco-friendly ways to celebrate, such as
lighting traditional diyas instead of bursting crackers, thus reducing
pollution and protecting nature.
The celebration concluded with the sharing of important values associated
with Diwali, including spreading joy, kindness, and harmony. The students
demonstrated how the festival encourages not just external lights but also
igniting the light of goodness within ourselves.
The event was a heartwarming showcase of cultural values and
environmental awareness, leaving a lasting impression on all present.
