The students of class 9 marked the Earth Day on 22nd April 2025 with a celebration in the school auditorium. The programme started with a heartfelt tribute to Pope Francis who stood for humility, simplicity and concern for humanity and the environment.

After the prayer service, a melodious hymn was sung by the school choir. The ecological initiatives of school were showcased in the form of a short video, after which the official Earth Day video message was also shown. A tableau showcased the theme of Earth's Day- "Our Power, Our Planet". At this special occasion the new Eco Club Cabinet was announced. Further, four students, who had attended a four-day workshop at the Eco Ambassadors' Seminar in February 2025, shared their learning experience briefly.

The Carmel Eco Anthem was introduced to the students and a pledge was taken by everyone to make efforts towards making the environment cleaner and greener.

The gathering was addressed by the school principal, Sr Sefali, who thanked the students and teachers for their efforts and motivated everyone to make conscious efforts to maintain the harmony with nature. Speaking on this occasion, Sr Sefali paid tribute to Pope Francis, who passed away on April 21, 2025. The school also observed one minute silence to honour Late Pope Francis.
