The members of Ekta squad: Aaradhya, Anvika, Aarika, Ibadat and Aaria along with ma’am Anupriya and ma’am Manvi embarked on a journey to a local home for senior citizens on 9th Dec 2024 as part of Ekta squad’s social awareness week. We started the program with a prayer, followed by carol singing and an interactive talk with the elderly residents. The students were captivated by the wisdom and life experiences of the elderly. They listened attentively to tales of the past, learning valuable lessons about life, love and perseverance. The residents, in turn, were delighted by the youthful energy and enthusiasm of the Ekta squad. The visit culminated in a heartfelt interaction, where the students presented gifts to the residents. The joy and gratitude on the faces of the elderly were truly heartwarming. The student realized the importance of empathy, compassion and giving back to the community. The experience was a valuable lesson for the students. It taught them the true meaning of respecting and caring for the elderly. By spending time with the residents, they gained a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by the elderly and the significance of social interaction. The students left the home for senior residents with a sense of fulfillment, knowing that they had made a positive impact on the lives of others. We thank our dear principal Sr Sefali and primary in charge Sr Satya for giving us such a great experience and opportunity.
